The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent Charity providing a life saving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across Yorkshire.
Their two new yellow H145 Airbus helicopters cover all of the region from their respective air bases at Nostell Priory near Wakefield & RAF Topcliffe near Thirsk.
It costs the charity £12,000 a day to keep both the helicopters in the air – that’s £4.4 million every year.

Set up initially for people living with dementia and their carers, we are open to anyone who wants to get out of the house,
have people to talk to and share activities with,
and to have a good laugh.
We play dominoes and darts, and indoor sports such as bowls and quoits, try a variety of crafts, sing, and sometimes just sit and chat, the choice is yours, and we are always open to fresh ideas.
We keep some helpful information and can connect you with
other agencies who may be able to help.
We are supported by Carers Resource, Dementia Forward and the Red Cross. Phone Joy on 01765 689310 to learn more or if you would like help getting there.

At Grewelthorpe C of E Primary School we believe that learning is a journey filled with opportunities to gain new skills and knowledge. Children should have experiences which engage and motivate them. Our children are encouraged to embrace challenges as opportunities to develop and improve, embedding a growth mind-set where effort, resilience and perseverance are rewarded. We want our children to develop positive learning attitudes built on self-belief, a desire to succeed and the expectation to be the best that they can be.
We are proud that our School has received special recognition again this year for both our phonics test and SATs results achieving joint top of the table for the 100% of children achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and maths, and also for the % of children achieving the higher standard.
Our Foundation Stage Unit has places for children from 3 years old and we are now taking bookings for September 2019 and beyond.
If your child is nursery age remember you may now be eligible to receive 30 hours of free funded provision. Please contact the school for further details, to book an appointment to look around or to request an admission pack.
