Sue grew up on a farm in Lincolnshire which is where her love of art and nature began. Surrounded by animals and beautiful scenery, she began to paint and draw anything that moved …and quite a lot that didn’t! Entirely self-taught, but influenced by impressionist painters such as Degas and Monet, Sue fell in love with their vibrancy, texture and versatility. As well as taking commissions, Sue now teaches local art groups and runs her own courses in pastel painting.
Dennis was born and raised in Yorkshire and has been a wood turner for over thirty years. He started turning on a very small scale making furniture and has now progressed to making different but useful items and loves doing segmented work with his lamps, bowls and lots more.

Amanda Newell produces a wide variety of quirky birds and animals in copper foil stained glass. The stunning Yorkshire landscapes and huge array of wildlife are the driving force behind Amanda’s work, inspiring her to produce British birds and wildlife in unusual streaky and textured art glasses that accurately reflect the subject.
Amanda’s exhibition runs from Saturday 7th July – Friday 3rd August 2018.
