ZRI – Chaplin in the Jazz Age

Masham Town Hall, Little Market Place, Masham
19:30 - 21:30

We are delighted to host another Ripon International Festival event after the wonderful evenings here with The Carnival Band in 2016 and Le Vent du Nord in 2017.
Virtuoso gypsy/klezmer ensemble ZRI, named after the legendary Zum Roten Igel (“The Red Hedgehog”) bar and musical hub in Vienna, present a live re-scoring of their favourite scenes from Charlie Chaplin’s early films. Taking the listener to the early 20th century New York where jazz, klezmer and classical music intertwined in film soundtracks, ZRI match the wit, virtuosity and sheer brilliance of Chaplin in his creative prime.
Part concert, part cinema, this event conjures a world of play for the whole family.

Tickets £17 (£10 students) available from Masham Community Office on 01765-680200 or email: info@visitmasham.com.
