Saint Mary's Church, Masham, 
9:00 - 17:00Sculpt is a new kind of art experience coming to Masham and six other local churches in North Stainley, West Tanfield, Well, Snape, Healey and Mickley from 25th May to 21st September 2019.
Each church will have a site-specific artwork installed by an international, innovative and inspirational artist answering the brief ‘A Response to Space’. Exciting, theatrical, family-friendly and perhaps shocking installations will be found in each church. A route map can be picked up in any of the churches. Expect the enexpected. A trail of dramatic art installations. Entrance is FREE

Blue Light Gallery, 7 Little Market Place, Masham, Ripon HG4 4DY 10:00 - 15:00Sue is mainly a self-taught graphite artist having attended short courses organised by another Yorkshire artist, Mike Sibley. Sue prefers to use graphite and draw in texture, taking inspiration from the endless possibilities and challenges that graphite can offer. The humble pencil can guide the viewer through the picture using texture and shade instead of colour and the challenge is to do justice to the subject.
Taking time to look at the world around in more detail instead of relying on colour to tell a story has given Sue a greater understanding of the beauty around. The beauty of the detail is, hopefully, recreated in the drawings and encourages the viewers to look deeper, to discover for themselves the power of graphite.
Sue has exhibited in the Station in Richmond and this is her second time showing her work in the Blue Light Gallery, Masham. Between exhibitions she has been busy with commissions and developing her portfolio and generally learning more about the creative potential of Graphite

Blue Light Gallery, 7 Little Market Place, Masham, Ripon HG4 4DY 10:00 - 15:00I use a Canon 60D DLSR and a Canon 5D Mk III DSLR along with various Canon lenses, for the last couple of years I have been using the process of sublimation to put my photographs on to different materials mainly coasters, plaques, mouse mats and shopping bags. I now sell my work at craft fairs and stalls across North Yorkshire, South Durham and Teesside.
