Clare is returning to the Blue Light Gallery, exhibiting her amazing talent of paper cutting, using just paper to depict scenes of her home county. She doesn’t use scale and perspective but relies on the layering of paper to give a hint of depth to her work.

I use a Canon 60D DLSR and a Canon 5D Mk III DSLR along with various Canon lenses, for the last couple of years I have been using the process of sublimation to put my photographs on to different materials mainly coasters, plaques, mouse mats and shopping bags. I now sell my work at craft fairs and stalls across North Yorkshire, South Durham and Teesside.

David Teece lives in Masham with his Garden Studio adjacent to his home. His interest in glass developed after seeing the work of a friend and this led to a short course with ArtisOn in stained glass. He then considered other forms of glass art and this eventually led to an inspirational Summer School at Glasgow School of Art. He has captured a little of what makes this part of Yorkshire so special and the series of Dales landscapes exhibited continues to challenge him as he finds new ways of capturing what makes them unique.
David also takes commissions – gardenstudiomasham@gmail.com.
After retiring from engineering some years ago and moving to North Yorkshire, I was looking for a hobby to occupy my spare time and initially took a short course with a professional wood turner which gave me the enthusiasm to persevere in gaining more experience and set up a workshop. As one who has always been practical and creative, I love what can be produced from a simple piece of wood and the way that the natural grain of the wood can display nature’s beauty in functional and decorative pieces for the home. I use mainly English hardwoods in my work.
