WW1 Archaeology for Families

Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), supported by the Friends of Nidderdale AONB, has released an exciting programme of events for the summer of 2015, to mark the second year of the centenary of the First World War.

Masham Town Hall has been chosen to host one of the family-orientated First World War events on Sunday 26th July from 1-4pm. Family groups will be able to meet a First World War living history ‘tommie’, watch a simulated archaeological dig, study finds from the First World War archaeological dig at Breary Banks and have a go at First World War archaeology. Suitable for children aged 7+. The cost of the afternoon is £5 per child, accompanying adults are free.
