Bedale Community Minibus

Bedale Community Minibus is a totally volunteer run organisation which provides transport for Community groups within the Bedale and Masham area. We have two 13 seat minibuses, both fully wheelchair accessible, which can be hired with a driver or on a self drive basis. Our Section 19 permit allows us to support the transport needs of community groups and societies. If you are an organised group and have a transport need we can help, we cannot accept bookings from individuals for personal activities. We also run monthly community trips, contact the office for details.

Our befriending volunteers visit elderly and vulnerable people on a regular basis in their own homes, taking the time to listen and chat. If the need arises our friendly office team can also provide information and signposting. The service is for anyone living in their own home who misses company is feeling isolated or
generally at a low ebb following a change in their circumstances. This service is part of the Harrogate Easier Living Project (HELP).

Masham Food Share is a community group supporting people in need and reducing food waste in our local area.
Food available daily at collection points and emergency food parcels.
Food available weekdays at Acorns preschool. Weekends and Wednesdays at Masham Methodist Church.
Food parcels are available to collect at Masham Community Office, St Mary’s Church behind the font and at the Methodist Church.

Masham Sheep Fair

28th and 29th September 2024
Famous Masham Sheep Fair weekend takes place in one of the finest Market Squares in England, raising much money for charity by filling the town with sheepy fun and entertainment all weekend.
Events include an action packed programme on both Saturday and Sunday, with a Sheep Show, Sheep Racing, Craft Market, Bishop Blaize Procession, Fleece Stalls, Wool Competition, Sheepdog Demonstrations, Hand Bell Ringers, Morris Dancers, Art Exhibition and Tours of Theakstons & Black Sheep Breweries, as well as the Old Time Children’s Fair.
All proceeds go to Yorkshire charities
