Ripon & Rural Befriending Service
Our befriending volunteers visit elderly and vulnerable people on a regular basis in their own homes, taking the time to listen and chat. If the need arises our friendly office team can also provide information and signposting. The service is for anyone living in their own home who misses company is feeling isolated or
generally at a low ebb following a change in their circumstances. This service is part of the Harrogate Easier Living Project (HELP).

Parent & Toddler ‘Stay & Play’ Session every Thursday 9.30am to 11am in Acorns Pre-school (Masham), term time only.
£1 for 0-6 month olds, £2 for 6 months-3 year olds, £1.50 additional children. Includes snack and drink.
Little Acorns is a friendly, safe space where young children can play and make friends whilst the adults swap ideas. suggestions and offer support to one another. There will be opportunities for messy play, pretend play, creative activities, movement, music and singing, and much more.

Masham Sheep Fair

28th and 29th September 2024
Famous Masham Sheep Fair weekend takes place in one of the finest Market Squares in England, raising much money for charity by filling the town with sheepy fun and entertainment all weekend.
Events include an action packed programme on both Saturday and Sunday, with a Sheep Show, Sheep Racing, Craft Market, Bishop Blaize Procession, Fleece Stalls, Wool Competition, Sheepdog Demonstrations, Hand Bell Ringers, Morris Dancers, Art Exhibition and Tours of Theakstons & Black Sheep Breweries, as well as the Old Time Children’s Fair.
All proceeds go to Yorkshire charities
