HELP Ripon & Rural Voluntary Car Driving Service

HELP Ripon & Rural Voluntary Car Driving Service

Our volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to offer door to door transport for non-urgent journeys to medical appointments, day centres, lunch clubs, shops, visiting sick relatives and social activities. The service is for anyone who finds it difficult to access other means of transport due to mobility and/or location. Journeys need to be booked at least two days in advance. For more information or to book a journey please call 01765 645907

Lime Tree Observatory

The Lime Tree Observatory first opened its doors in 2016 and is available for both public and private bookings.
Typical sessions last around two hours and consist of refreshments, an astronomical presentation either in the observatory or in our newly built immersive planetarium, followed by astronomical observing through the observatory’s range of telescopes if the weather is favourable.
See our website for details of how to book on public sessions, or how to make a private booking.

Please note that entry is by prior booking only. We regret that you are unable to just turn up on spec.

Volunteer Litter Pickers in Mashamshire – Mashamshire Litter Busters

We are a group of Mashamshire residents that love walking and we are also an enthusiastic team of volunteer litter pickers. We either go individually for a walk and take a bin bag or meet as a group and ‘do’ a route. In any case, it’s great exercise and we think we make a difference to our Town and around. You are most welcome to join us for the next group litter pick.
