John Chapman’s play, clever and riotous by turns, is a celebration of fun, mayhem and thespian mischief. The play is set during a performance by an am-dram company, whose play about a divorce is married by marital mayhem off-stage. And that’s before an ageing Shakespearian star, now fonder of the bottle than the bard, takes to the stage in front of his new agent. A light-hearted tilt at stage folk and their ways, this delightful piece is performed in aid of the farming charity RABI.
