Conquering the Blue Nile

Grewelthorpe Village Hall, Lake Terrace, Grewelthorpe, HG4 3BU
19:30

An extraordinary and exciting talk describing human endeavour and bravery during a scientific expedition to the forbidding Blue Nile in 1968. The talk traces the expedition’s progress along the 400-mile route from Lake Tana in the highlands of Ethiopia to a point close to the Sudanese Border. It features amazing film footage of the hazardous passage through wild water rapids whilst avoiding dangerous crocodiles and armed bandits! By Roger Chapman MBE.
Free Entry but donations welcome. In aid of St James’ Church & Methodist Chapel, Grewelthorpe.
