Do you work or volunteer with people who could be or are affected by Dementia?
“At Dementia Forward we encourage openness and discussion about dementia. We all know that knowledge is power, and it is only through talking about what might at first seem a difficult subject that we can gain further understanding. Our aim is to create dementia inclusive communities, where people living with dementia feel supported and understood and confident to continue to do the things they enjoy. We often receive the feedback that because of our dementia awareness training an individual has been able to support a client or customer in a way that they previously wouldn’t have been able – and that to us is the perfect outcome.”
The session will be held at Masham Methodist Church on Thursday 5th December, starting at 10:30am. The session will last approximately 1 hour with an opportunity to ask any questions at the end.
Places are limited and on a first come first served basis – we hope to accommodate everyone, but this may not be possible and depends on uptake. Please send your organisation name, and the names of the people you wish to attend, to info@visitmasham.com
Thanks to Masham Methodist Church, Dementia Forward and MCO, we have been able to make this training session free of charge however, donations would be warmly received and there will be a collection at the end which will be split between the three charities.
