Emma Spick at the Blue Light Gallery

Blue Light Gallery, 7 Little Market Place, Masham, Ripon HG4 4DY

Emma first began experimenting with wool when, having recently purchased her own small flock of Herdwick sheep, she completed a course in felt-making at the Artison studios in Masham, in 2012. Since then, she has tried out different techniques for ‘painting’ with wool but most of all loves needle felting to create pictures inspired by nature and also more abstract designs. She loves to use different kinds of wool and natural materials in her felt paintings, often using textured wool from Wensleydale, Herdwick and North Ronaldsay sheep to create different effects.
Emma’s exhibition runs from Saturday 24th January until Friday 6th February. For more information, please call the Blue Light Gallery at Mashamshire Community Office on 01765 680 200.
