Evelyn has exhibited widely in Yorkshire since 1983 and on three occasions was chosen to exhibit at the Leeds Open Art Exhibition against keen competition. She loves the rugged gutsy character of our northern industrial landscapes with their haphazard features like old tyres piled under arches, pylons, a crane – not usually thought of as picturesque subjects. When asked about her specific style, she finds that hard to answer as she has a very eclectic approach, being inspired by a wide variety of subjects ranging from gentle landscapes to urban locations, using many different media. Evelyn loves to experiment and her inspiration is therefore universal which really does mean there is “something for everybody”.
This is Evelyn’s first exhibition at the Blue Light Gallery running from 19th March to 1st April 2016.
