10:00Here is a wonderful introduction to Millinery at ArtisOn – all the basic hand-blocking and sewing techniques needed to creat a wonderful vintage cocktail hat. You will:
– Form a miniature hat base with wood blocks and steam irons
– Cover the base with fabric using hand-sewing techniques
– Trim with feathers, veiling etc – the really fun bit!
– Add fittings and line the base to finish
All under the guidance of expert milliner Claire Spooner whose workshop is in Pateley Bridge. No experience needed.
Cost: £75 – Maximum group 6 people. Hearty lunch and afternoon tea included.
