Ian will speak about the purchase, responsibility, maintenance and ongoing problems as well as a very lightly touch on the happy times of owning the largest privately owned Abbey in the U.K.
Ian was born in Edinburgh and came to North Yorkshire in 1974. He has farmed at Jervaulx,for over 20 years, but due to ill health has now given up the land to concentrate of the Abbey site together with the tea rooms, caravan park and bed and breakfast.
Meetings are held in Masham Town Hall and begin at 7.30pm. Non members are very welcome and are charged £3 per meeting.
