An evening with two of the north’s best detective fiction writers. Leeds-based Frances Brody has written seven Kate Shackleton mysteries, set in and inspired by the Yorkshire Dales. Stephen Booth’s series of 15 novels follow young detectives Ben Cooper and Diane Fry as they solve murders in the Peak District, and have twice been shortlisted for the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award.
Frances and Stephen will be reading from their work, and discussing how it is shaped and inspired by the northern English landscape. The evening is supported by the Little Ripon Bookshop, who will also have novels available to buy and be signed.
Admission free – a collection will be taken on the evening.
