NEW FOR SPRING 2023
We are incorporating a longer and brisker walk on the first Tuesday of each month which will be circular, leaving from Mashamshire Community Office and will be over 60 minutes and up to 90 minutes long. The walks will follow public footpaths over farmland and around other areas of interest, where there will be some rough, uneven ground and some stiles should be expected.
Please ensure you have suitable attire for the walk, i.e. waterproofs and suitable footwear and a rucksack with a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. Please also feel free to bring a flask and a snack for a short stop along the way. NB. The advertised duration of the walk does not include the rest break so please allow extra time.
Please arrive for 10.10am outside Mashamshire Community Office, Little Market Place, (opposite the bus stop and GP surgery). The walk starts at 10.15am.
Set up initially for people living with dementia and their carers, we are now open to anyone who wants to get out of the house, have people to talk to, share activities with and have a good laugh. We play dominos, darts and indoor sports such as bowls and quoits. Try a variety of crafts, sing and sometimes just sit and chat, the choice is yours and we are always open to fresh ideas. We keep some helpful information and can connect you with other agencies who may be able to help.
We are supported by Carers Resource and Dementia Forward.
