The Ruin is a Georgian folly that combines Gothic and Romanesque architecture. Perched dramatically above a steep wooded gorge, it is a feature of the mid eighteenth-century picturesque garden at Hackfall. From its terrace you can enjoy one of the finest views in Yorkshire.
Discover more about its story and its place in the historic Hackfall landscape.
Entry is free and we welcome all ages. Hackfall gardens will also be open over the weekend with guided tours on Sunday. Please check www.hackfall.org.uk for more details.
