10:00Drop-in coffee morning and volunteer recruitment event to mark the beginning of a 3 year Heritage Lottery Funded project called “Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the 1st World War”. We are particularly interested in speaking to people from the local community with family stories, memories or ephemera relating to the 1st World War. The project, supported by the Friends of Nidderdale AONB, will focus on the impact of the war on the landscape and communities of the Nidderdale AONB area. It will also reference the story of the Leeds Pals, who were trained in the area. Come along and find out more!
