‘Ah what a life were this, how sweet, how lovely!’
Following the sell-out success of last year’s production ‘Shakespeare’s Yorkshire’ are back at Jervaulx Abbey this Summer. At timed slots throughout the day, you will begin a theatrical tour of beautiful Jervaulx Abbey – finding actors in the most unusual of places! Combining snippets of Shakespeare’s silliest scenes, modern text, original music (and a sheep or two along the way!), this interactive, family-friendly production is suitable for everyone. Brought to you by local, professional theatre company The Think: Light Platform – all with a fun Yorkshire twist.
Tours start at Jervaulx Abbey Tea Rooms, please arrive 15 mins early.
Performances times: 1.30pm, 4pm, 6.30pm – approx 1 hour 15 mins running time.
Tickets: £11, £9 (concessions), £36 (family ticket – 2 adults, 2 children) including a free activity sheet for children.
Please note: this is a sister show – not a sequel – to Shakespeare’s Yorkshire; you do not need to have attended last summer. It is all outdoors, with walking involved – please dress appropriately for the English weather. Seats available along the way. The show must go on (even in the rain!) – no refunds available.
