10:00Sheryl studied at Jacob Kramer School of Art, then graduated from Leeds University. After gaining a PGCE she taught for several years in schools and colleges which then led her in 2001 to become a full time artist, working from her studio in Hyde Park. Her latest body of work is directly inspired by the changing chaotic skies in imaginary lands and favourite places she visits time and time again – places she finds mysteriously fascinating. Preferring to paint pre dawn, a time of solace and awakening, Sheryl paints in pigment rich acrylics to capture the initial vast skies, then works over in many layers of oils and alkyd paints to create depth and intensity.
