Fool’s Gold is an acoustic duo, with Steve and Carol Robson playing original and traditional music, in a manner which is “folk-ish, without being all out trad”. Using a variety of instruments including guitars, flute, whistles, bass and ukelele, they play a range of traditional and modern songs from the North-East.
What makes this show different and special is that Steve and Carol reveal the stories that lie behind the songs, telling of the hidden histories, myths, characters and events that called them into being. With a large projection screen, the stories and songs are accompanied with captivating images and video which really bring them to life.
