A history evening, following on from the 19 January showing of “Suffragette”. The evening starts with “Make Some Noise”, a compilation of silent film of the suffragette movement taken before and during the First World War. The film will be followed by a talk on the suffragettes in the North of England, in particular the life and work of Emily Davison, by actor, writer and expert Kate Willoughby.
This evening is a collaboration between Movies in Masham, the Masham Local History Group, and “The Time is Now”, a nationwide season of women’s rights and fights on film.
