19:30Glorious chaos in an irreverently joyous mix – the Carnival Band have delighted audiences as far away as Japan with their unique blend of musicianship and humour. Andy Watts, Giles Lewin, Jub Davis, Steno Vitale and Steve Banks bring a new twist to their riotous programme with shawms, lutes, tabors, bagpipes, djembe, alongside clarinet, fiddles, banjo – and yes – even an electric guitar! Recordingsand tours with Maddy Prior have won them an enthusiastic following as they turn musical convention on its head from Renaissance to Rock ‘n Roll.
