Class Four at Masham School are taking over the Town Hall to raise awareness and money for the plight of children living amongst the rubbish dumps of Manila in the Philippines.
Come and listen to a range of speakers. At 10.30am, Clare Nelson from Compassion UK (our chosen charity) www.compassionuk.org. Children from Class 4 will talk about their project and Yvonne Jefferies (from a local charity project, helping refugees settle into new communities), www.schools.cityofsanctuary.org/
Enjoy a delicious lunch at noon and then from 1pm work together to turn trash into treasure such as drink can hair clips/pencil toppers/fridge magnets; decorated hair bands; notecards; bunting; willow heart weaving; shopping bag making/decorating; bird feeder making.
All welcome and all proceeds will go to charities supporting children’s lives in the Philippines. Come for as long as you like – all day or just for an hour.
